PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piping pit casing to set a piping pit in a shallow layer part at which the maintenance and inspection works can be executed on the ground while the piping pit is not frozen. SOLUTION: A heat insulation casing 1 whose top part is an openable/ closable cover part 3 and whose bottom part is opened is set in a set hole A excavated to a geothermal holding layer, and a piping pit B is set by providing pit joint parts 25, 26 on a water supply end part and a water discharge end part which are raised from the embedding position of an embedded pipe 2 to the pit set position in the beat insulation casing 1.
