PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cool a control circuit board and a cord reel efficiently and sagely by feeding part of the exhaust stream exhausted from a fan to the control circuit board and cord reel. SOLUTION: This vacuum cleaner is provided with a motor-driven fan 109 constituted of a motor 112 and a fan 110 and generating a suction air stream for collecting dust, a dust collection section 103 collecting the dust in the suction air stream, a control device controlling the rotation of the motor-driven fan 109, and a cord reel storing a power cord feeding electric power to the motor- driven fan 109. The fan 110 is provided with an exhaust passage exhausting the suction air stream and a bulkhead 204 partitioning the exhaust passage, feeds part of the exhaust to the motor 112, and feeds the remainder to the control device and cord reel.
