PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a single space for all tool holders and to reliably mount the tool holder on a main spindle without lowering adhesion between a taper junk part and a taper hole even when wear occurs to the taper hole of the main spindle. SOLUTION: The taper shank part 14 of a tool holder 13 having a flange part 15 for grasping is inserted in the taper hole 11 of the main spindle 10 of a tool machine. The taper shank part 14 is closely fitted in a taper hole 11 by a pull stud drawing mechanism 12 to mount the tool holder 13 on the main spindle 10 and further, a given gap determined according to an industrial specification is provided between the end face 101 of the main spindle 10 and the end face 152, positioned facing the end face, of a flange part 15. In a so formed mounting device for a tool holder, an annular spacer 17 having thickness equivalent to±manufacture error of a given gap is adhered to a spot, where the end face 101 of the main spindle 10 is positioned opposite to the end face 152 of the flange part 15, by a layer-form adhesive 18.
