PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic sheet intended for an application receiving a significant laminate load or thermal stress in such a state that the peripheral edge part of e.g. an electrolyte membrane for a plain sheet solid electrolytic fuel cell is restrained and also a ceramic sheet which is almost free form the generation of cracks and fissures, even when such a significant laminate load or thermal stress is received, and a method for manufacturing the ceramic sheet. SOLUTION: This ceramic sheet has preferably irregularities which are formed at a pitch of 0.05-10 mm and 0.05-3.0 mm high on the peripheral edge of the sheet and more preferably has burrs whose height is limited to ±100 μm or less on the peripheral edge part and shows outstanding crack and fissure resistance against the laminate load and thermal stress. In addition, a method for manufacturing the ceramic sheet and a technique for increasing the strength of the ceramic sheet by forming the irregularities on the peripheral edge part of the sheet are disclosed. |
