PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a modified acrylic-based polymer capable of serving as a cement-dispersant and curing cement in an accelerated manner, by reacting a polyacrylic acid with an alkanol amine in the presence of a strongly acidic catalyst. SOLUTION: This polymer is obtained by reacting (A) 1 mol of a polyacrylic acid (1-5C ester) having a number-average molecular weight of 500 to 20,000 represented by formula I [R is H or methyl; M is an ion of an alkali (earth) metal, or the like; and (a) is 5 to 270], (B) 0.01 to 0.30 mols of a tertiary alkanol amine represented by formula II (R1 and R2 are each methyl, hydroxyethyl, acetoxyethyl, or the like) or its derivative, (C) 0 to 0.80 mols of a monofunctional polyalkylene glycol-monoalkyl ether represented by formula III [R3 is a 1-4C alkyl residue; and (x) is 2 to 250], as required, and (D) 0 to 0.60 mols of anα-amino-polyalkylene glycol-ω-alkyl ether represented by formula IV [(y) is 2 to 250] with each other in the presence of (E) a strongly acidic catalyst.
|
