<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile glove compartment mounting structure being easily attached and detached and adjusted in height, usable for fixing articles other than a glove compartment, having good appearance when not in use, and being low-cost. SOLUTION: This glove compartment 1 includes a box-shaped body 2 and a support leg 3 projected downwards from the bottom face part 12 of the body 2. A support means clamps and fixes a cover 44 by fixing a bracket 81, i.e., a mounting member, to a header panel HP, fixing a pair of outer cylinders 42 to the bracket 81, disposing a cover 44 in such a way as to cover the pair of outer cylinders 42, and inserting inner cylinders 71 into the outer cylinders 42. The support leg 3 inserted in a through hole bored in the inner cylinder 71 is locked when a fixing pawl energized by an energization means (not shown) disposed at a fixing means 5 fits into a cutout (not shown). Thus, the glove compartment 1 can be easily attached and detached and adjusted in height.</p> |
