PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-quality writing utensil, in which no bubble is left in a tip at the centrifugal treatment in its manufacturing as a matter of course the catching of outside air and the leakage of an ink at the point of the tip are prevented from occurring. SOLUTION: This writing utensil is equipped with a spring 13, which energizes a transferring ball 12 pivotally hugged at the point of a tip 10, and a press member 15, which accepts the disc-like rear end surface 13d of the spring 13. The press member 15 is formed so as to accept the spring 13 by intersectingly abutting against the disc-like rear end surface 13d so as not to form a stepped part, in which the point surface of the press member 15 and the inner peripheral surface of the tip 10 intersect over a whole periphery, in order to smoothly move bubbles to be deaerated by a centrifugal treatment rearwards without being caught within the tip 10.
