PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock device having a protective cap which is strong against the violent breakage by the drilling, and the illegal unlocking by a picking tool. SOLUTION: A protective cap 4 is fitted in an annular clearance 3 between a fixed case 1 and a rotor 2, and engaged with an annular recessed part 6 provided on a reverse side of an inner circumferential flange part 5 of the fixed case 1 and an annular receiving groove 7 provided on an outer circumference of a side wall part of the protective cap 4 across a C-ring shaped locking member 8, a notched part 9 communicating with the annular recessed part 6 is provided in the inner circumferential flange part 5 of the fixed case 1, and the locking member 8 is elastically deformed in the centripetal direction by an operation member inserted from the notched part 9, and evacuated from the annular recessed part 6.
