PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent early falling-off of abrasive grains, to improve grinding performance and workability by always exposing a newly generated abrasive grains to a surface, and to improve familiarity with a polishing surface by holding flexibility by integrally pressurizing/molding a knead-molded sheet being a rubber-like elastic abrasive grain layer on one surface of base cloth. SOLUTION: In an abrasive 4, a knead-molded sheet 3 being a rubber-like elastic abrasive grain layer 2 is integrally pressurized/molded on one surface of base cloth 1. In the abrasive grain layer 2, abrasive grains are desirably mixed in a range of 100 to 200 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. of a binding material mainly composed of a rubber-like substance, and the abrasive grains are formed of coherent abrasive grains A having the particle size of about 0.5 to 1 mm by coherently joining alundum, carborundum and abrasive particles suitable for the other uses. Hardness of the abrasive grain layer 2 after molding is set in a range of 70 to 95 in a JIS A sale so that the abrasive grain layer 2 is normally foamed in a multiplying factor of about 10 to 20% to be thereby used as a high performance, long service life abrasive 4 as well as to be used as a sheet-like elastic rotary polishing grinding wheel 4 capable of exhibiting excellent performance in polishing a complicated three-dimensional curved surface.
