PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drive a rivet on a plate type fixing article of a different form and fix it in a stable state. SOLUTION: This attachment for a rivet driver is constituted by providing an installation part 7A to the rivet driver 2 on a base end part of an attachment body 7, providing a contact part 7B free to make contact along a surface of a plate type fixing article 4 to be fixed on an fixing object part B by a rivet 5 from the rivet driver 2 on a head end part of the attachment body 7 and providing a positioning means 10 free to regulate positional slippage of the plate type fixing article 4 and the attachment body 7 in a direction along the surface of the plate type fixing article 4 by making contact with an edge part of the plate type fixing article 4 on the attachment body 7. In this case, a state change-over means free to change a positioning state to regulate positional slippage of the plate type fixing article 4 and the attachment body 7 and a non-positioning state not to regulate the positional slippage of the plate type fixing article 34 and the attachment body 7 over to each other is provided to constitute the positioning means 10.
