PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simply structured high precision device which eliminates an operation at an elevated site, in a belt attaching device for a tire to be used on a vehicle such as a large-size construction machine. SOLUTION: A material belt 45 to be paid off from a drum 2 of a material truck 1 is conveyed by a conveyor 3, aboard which, in turn, the belt 45 is cut to a specified length by an operator to be taken up by a transfer drum 4. In addition, rollers are arranged on the entire periphery of the interior of the drum 4, and a magnet is pressed to the surface of the drum 4 under the pressure of a cam plate between the contact parts of the conveyor 3 and a belt drum 44. Consequently, the belt 45 is tightly attracted by the magnet to the periphery of the transfer drum 4 between the conveyor 3 and the belt drum 44 and thus the belt 45 is retained, so that the belt 45 is securely delivered to the belt drum 44 to be wound around the latter. Application of the self weight of the transfer drum 4 to the belt 45 is adjusted by a lifting cylinder, and the pressing force of the drum 4 to the belt drum 44 is properly adjusted by a cylinder for access and separation 8.
