PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an ignition code correspond to a merchandize number easily by reading out the name of a concerned article from an article name table, retrieving the name of an article in a merchandize file with the read-out name of the article as a retrieval word, and searching an article whose name coincides with the name of the articles when the recognition code is outputted. SOLUTION: When an operator pronounces 'the name of an article' in the pricing mode of a label printer, the pronunciation signal is converted into an electric signal by the microphone of a head set 14. Next, in a voice input/output 23, after the electric signal of a voice being A/D-converted, the features are extracted to be compared with a standard pattern (voice dictionary), and as a result of the comparison, a recognition code is outputted to CPU 20. Next, in the CPU, an article name table stored in RAM 30 or ROM 40 is retrieved, the name of an article stored corresponding to the input recognition code is read out, a concerning article is selected from a merchandize list and displayed on a display 12b, and a label is issued by printing mechanism parts 3, 4. |
