PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of the lowering of the sensing performance and the generation of overload on a thresher or generation of insufficient threshing caused by the decreased supplying depth in a combine having a structure to adjust the rotation on the axis along the moving direction of a culm resulting in remarkable variation of the distance between a sensing object and a guide cover in the case of adjusting by such means. SOLUTION: The traveling vehicle 2 of a combine having a traveling gear 1 is provided with a reap pretreatment apparatus 6 having a lower transfer apparatus 3 placed at the lower part of the pretreatment apparatus 6 to transfer the lower part of a reaped culm and an upper transfer apparatus 4 placed at the upper part of the pretreatment apparatus to transfer the upper part of the culm. An upper guide plate 5 to guide the upper part of the culm is placed above the upper transfer apparatus 4. A supplying depth sensor 8 positioning the tip end close to the upper guide plate 5 and having sensing members 7 arranged with intervals in a direction crossing the transfer direction of the culm and a vertical shaft 9 having axis nearly perpendicular to the upper guide plate 5 are placed above the upper transfer apparatus 4. The lateral position of the supplying depth sensor 8 is changeable around the vertical shaft 9 by the operation of an operation handle 33.
