Bearing surfaces of connecting rods which are subjected to stress during working are honed and the gaps between the honing tool and workpiece is fitted with an aqs. soln. of a salt of a metal having good sliding properties. During electrolysis of the sol. ultra-sonic vibration of the soln. is effected. The coating has good wear, corrosion protection and sliding props. |
