PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt conveyor for work conveyance which makes it unnecessary to move a belt vertically, then inhibits the generation of whiskers during successive cutting and upgrades the processing accuracy of a trimmed edge and further, shorten a time for cutting fabrication. SOLUTION: The belt conveyor Bc for work conveyance to be used in a plate fabricating machine such as a shearing machine comprises an endless belt Cb made up of an upper belt and a lower belt and a driving rotor 5 which drives the stretched endless belt Cb and a driven rotor 6 and also an inclination mechanism K-1 which inclines the specified range of the side edge part of the upper belt adjacent to a lower cutting edge (an X lower edge) 1 as a fixed edge in parallel with the carry-out direction of the belt conveyor Bc so that the specified range is lower than a pass line PL.
