PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce sliding resistance by preventing the bending moment of a valve system when an intake valve is opened and closed. SOLUTION: This valve forcibly driving device is provided with valve opening and closing cams 5 and 6, which are fixed to the cam shaft 7 supported by a bearing on top of a cylinder head 1 and opens and closes an intake valve 3, and an actuating mechanism 8, which is provided on the cylinder head 1 so as to vertically and freely move through a stay 16 to transmit the force to open and close each of the cams 5 and 6. The intake valve 3 and the actuating mechanism 8 are formed separated from each other, and the axis line X of the valve system 10 of the intake valve 3 is arranged on the axis line P of the cam shaft 7. The actuating mechanism 8 is nearly horizontally extended from the upper and lower positions of the stay 16 and is provided with valve opening and closing arms 17 and 18, on which cams 5 and 6 slide independently of each other, and an actuating arm 19 to pull up a valve shaft in the direction to close the valve 3 interlocking with the valve opening and closing arms 17 and 18.
