PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-driven power steering system capable of excluding the effect of an undefined signal output from a torque sensor, and improving the steering feeling. SOLUTION: A limitter circuit 12 is operated to limit an upper limit value of a torque signal, when a torque sensor 5 outputs an undefined signal in such a manner that an ignition switch 31 is turned on/off. On this occasion, the limitter circuit 12 gradually increases the upper limit value of the torque signal from zero, when a system is transferred from a stop state to an operation state, and the limitter circuit 12 gradually reduces the upper limit value of the torque signal to zero, when the system is transferred from the operation state to the stop state. |
