PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering system of variable steering angle ratio capable of simplifying the constitution of the system while having a mechanism for allowing a steering angle ratio to be variable. SOLUTION: A projection 7 is formed from a nut member 3 connected to a steering input shaft 1 by means of a ball nut mechanism. The projection 7 is controlled by a slot 8a formed on a disc-shaped member 8, and movable only in the direction inclined from an axis S1 byθ3. The disc-shaped member 8 is controlled to be rotatable only around a rotary shaft orthogonal to the axis S1, and rotated and displaced by the driving of a motor 9. A pinion gear 5 is coaxially serration-connected to the nut member 3.
