PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a muffled latch lock having the strength durable for a long service and large in muffling effect. SOLUTION: A latch bolt 5 slidably stored in a latch case 1 is urged by a spring 8 so that a head part 7 is projected. In a synthetic resin latch bush 11, a cylindrical part 11a is fitted to a latch insertion hole 3a in a fitting flange 3, a latch insertion hole 12a in an armor plate 12 in front thereof, and an inner circumference of a forward part of the latch case 1 to guide the head part 7, a groove 11b in the axial direction is engaged with a projection 7f in the radial direction at the rear end of the head part to regulate the projection of the head part, and a flange part 11c is held between the fitting flange 3 and the armor plate 12. In a synthetic resin muffled pat 10, an arc-life part 10c is fitted in a center groove 7c of the head part 7 over the whole length of a columnar side surface and a tip part of a flat side surface, and a penetration part 10d extending from the arc-like part 10c and having an engagement claw 10a for coming off prevention on a tip is fitted to a through hole 7d in the axial direction of the head part 7.
