PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holding shelf for a plant growing bedrock material capable of facilitating the installation of the holding shelf in a hard slope. SOLUTION: Holding shelves 20 for holding a plant growing bedrock material 18 are provided on a hard slope 14 regulated by a baserock or a slope protection structure 12. The holding shelves are arranged at specific intervals each other in the horizontal direction, and each of them is constituted of a plurality of bar-shaped bearing members 24 buried into a bedrock 30 so as to expose a part thereof and a water permable sheet 26 borne on the exposed parts of the bearing members and regulating a holding surface of the plant growing bedrock material 18.
