摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration of work accuracy due to heating generated at work time, and to improve work accuracy of a groove by providing a recessed part in a shaft end central part on the side for fixing an abrasive grain of base metal, and forming the groove over the outer peripheray of the base metal from the shaft end central part. SOLUTION: Base metal 10 has a columnar shape with a diameter D. A recessed part 11 having an inside diameter (d) is formed in the depth H in a central part of the shaft end surface, and a groove 12 is formed so as to connect a space formed of this recessed part 11 and a space on the outer periphery of a grinding wheel. A shape of the groove 12 has a V shape, and a maximum width of the groove 12 is W. Thus, even if work is performed by rotating a recessing grinding wheel while moving a workpiece in one direction, a bottom surface of the groove formed on a workpiece can be formed in an almost flat shape. Since work chips generated at work time are retreated by the recessed part of the grinding wheel and the groove formed on the grinding wheel, the occurrence of mesh-clogging of the grinding wheel can be prevented, and a quantity of heat generated at work time can also be reduced.
