PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently form a lining layer while ensuring the close adhesion to an existing pipe and to make it less prone to generate a pinhole in the lining layer even if a liquid lining agent generating heat of reaction at a time of curing is used. SOLUTION: A lining pig B is inserted in an existing pipe A wherein a large diameter part 5 having an inner diameter larger than that of a pipeline 4 is provided on the way of the pipe line 4 and moved along the existing pipe to line the inner surface of the existing pipe with the lining layer 1 formed from the liquid lining agent D charged in front of the moving direction of the lining pig. In this lining construction method of the inner surface of a pipe, a freely elastically deformable front pig C having an outer diameter larger than the inner diameter of the pipeline and having vent holes 8 communicating with the front and rear areas in the moving direction thereof is inserted in the existing pipe on the front side of the moving direction of the lining pig and the space between the front pig and the lining pig is filled with the liquid lining agent.
