The roof construction comprises roof components supporting on and connected to a metal frame, each roof component consisting of a plastic layer, above which is a metal plate. The connection between a roof component and the metal frame is by at least one fixture component fixed to the metal plate in a thermically insulating manner. In the roof surface of the building (1) steel I-profiles (3) are laid, which with their outer ends locate on opposing walls (2). Between two adjacent I-profiles extend roof components (4), adjacent roof components being connected along their long sides (6). Between adjacent long sides of the roof components plastic strips are fitted, providing a damp-tight connection. Each roof component is preferably 10 mteers long, 1.25 meters width and approximately 20 cm thick.
