PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grasp the mutual relationship of functions easily by providing display devices, classifying/dividing the items of various functional actions, and displaying them on each display device in an apparatus in which the various functional actions related to image formation are displayed on a screen by using the display devices. SOLUTION: Each of the first - third operation displays 72-74 which are installed with a mechanical key operation in the operation unit of an image forming apparatus is made a touch panel-type screen for displaying the states of operations and messages. The first operation display 72 is made to perform a display concerning the uptake of manuscript information and data selection, the second operation display 73 is made to perform a display concerning the data processing of fetched image information, and the third operation display 74 is made to perform a display concerning the handling of output data such as transfer paper processing and data output. In a mechanical key operation, ten keys/# keys 81, a start key 82, a clear/stop key 83, a program key 84, a reset key/a preheating key 85, an interruption key 86, and others are installed. |
