PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the occupant restraint performance of a seatbelt device by surely preventing movement of a webbing at the initial stage of a collision and to enhance the handleability of a seatbelt in wearing or removing it. SOLUTION: This tongue plate 1 is mounted on a webbing in such a manner that the webbing 5 passes between a rear part 2d and a locking member 8 and between the locking member 8 and an occupant from a second through hole 7 and a first through hole 6. Holding means are provided comprising a stopper part 8c and a torsion spring for energizing and holding the locking member in an angular position where free relative movement of the webbing is permitted, and when a tension equal to or greater than a predetermined value is imposed on the webbing by the collision of the vehicle, etc., the locking member is rotated whereby the webbing is sandwiched between the locking member and the rear part. |
