<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of parts and simplify a structure by separately providing a ramp cover of a ball ramp mechanism and a caliper. SOLUTION: A ramp cover 19 of a ball ramp mechanism 18 is mounted to a caliper 2 with using a mounting bolt 28 and the like to form a ball-ramp type disc brake. A friction pad 9 is pressed against a disc D through a ramp shaft 22, a push rod 12, a nut 10, a piston 8, and the like by a ball 25 when a turning lever 26 is turned by a vehicular hand brake and the like. An initial position of the ramp shaft 22 and the like is regulated by making a projecting part 26A of the turning lever 26 abut to the mounting bolt 28. Meanwhile, a cam-strut type disc brake can be formed by removing the ball ramp mechanism 18 from the caliper 2 and exchanging with a cam mechanism or the like.</p> |
