GOLD OR SILVER THREAD EXCELLENT IN METALLIC LUSTER AND METHOD FOR DYEING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gold or silver thread expressing clear metallic luster by dyeing a thread twisted with a narrow film in a dark color without soiling the narrow film on which a metallized layer is formed. SOLUTION: This gold or silver thread excellent in metallic luster is provided by twisting a narrow film on which a metallized layer is formed at least on one side of a polyethylene naphthalate film with a polyester yarn having a tanδpeak temperature (T2: deg.C) measured by a dynamic viscoelasticity measurement and lower than the glass transition temperature (T1: deg.C) of the polyethylene naphthalate film.
