PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain an occurrence of defectives at a minimum, to shorten a line cycle, and further to reduce a space for setting. SOLUTION: A parallel two spindles lathe 1 is juxtaposed with a first machining portion 2 for performing a first working step and a second machining portion 3 for performing a second working step. A first reversing device 4 and a second reversing device 5 for reversing a work are placed above the lathe 1. A beam 6 is provided with a loader 7 so as to move transversely as well as vertically, and thereby the work can be carried from the first machining portion 2 to the first reversing device 4 as well as from the second reversing device 5 to the second machining portion 3. A measuring device 9 is installed between the first reversing device 4 and the second reversing device 5 so that the work can be measured right after being machined at the first machining portion 2.
