PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steamer for tea manufacture capable of preventing tea leaves from attaching especially to an inner cylinder and facilitating a maintenance. SOLUTION: In this steamer for tea manufacture in which an inner cylinder 7 is arranged in a fixed outer cylinder 6 to form a steaming cylinder 5, the central shaft of the steaming cylinder 5 is made into a slightly dropped state from horizontality with heading toward the tip, rotated and steam is introduced into the steaming cylinder 5 to steam tea leaves passing through the steaming cylinder 5, the inner cylinder 7 is obtained by fixing a shell plate 72 having a large number of projected parts 72a to an outer frame. The adhesion of tea leaves or tea dregs to the inner cylinder 17 can be extremely prevented in comparison with a conventional inner cylinder using a wire mesh and maintenance is facilitated.
