LASER THERMAL TRANSFER RECORDING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve image defect by carrying an image receiving sheet reversely to a material supply section at a discharge section and then carrying it to the supply section side and employing a sheet having a specified stiffness thereby improving the carrying performance to eliminate jamming and carriage flaw. SOLUTION: An image receiving sheet having stiffness of 15-70 g is fed from an image receiving sheet containing section 6 to an exposing section 3 and wound around an exposing drum 9 with the image receiving face being directed upward. Subsequently, an ink sheet fed from an ink sheet containing section 5 is wound around a drum such that an ink layer touches the image receiving face of the image receiving sheet and exposed with laser beam projected from a laser head 10. Coloring material of the ink sheet is thereby transferred onto the image receiving sheet and an image is formed on the image receiving sheet. The exposed ink sheet is discharged from a discharging section 4 through a discharge path 4A to the back face of the apparatus. Subsequently, the image receiving sheet formed with an image is discharged and the course is diverted again to discharge the image receiving sheet upper leftward through a passage 4B.
