PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce stocktaking of a production line while maintaining throughput of the production line, and to improve productivity by providing a lot control device for automatically calculating the proper stock number by designating a proper stock parameter for showing the time for holding the stock. SOLUTION: This lot control device 10 comprises a lot dispatch control part 1, a lot input control part 2 and an internal timer 3. When a beginning distributional change in a production line 20 is informed from a carrying apparatus 4 and when informed from the internal timer 3 by the lot dispatch control part 1, lot dispatch processing is started to decide which lot must be carried to which equipment, and carrying indication of a corresponding lot is transmitted to the carrying apparatus 4 of the production line 20. Indication for inputting a new lot is imparted to the production line 20 in the proper timing so that the work waiting lot number in the production line 20 does not exceed the proper stock number by the lot input control part 2.
