PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a rate of absorbing oxygen, improve gas-barrier property and transparency, and suppress degradation of a flavor and taste due to oxygen in contents by suppressing a calorific value in crystallinity of a polyamide resin in an oxygen absorbent resin composition which contains the polyamide resin and a transition metal based catalyst to a specific value. SOLUTION: A composition comprising a xylylene group-containing polyamide having various crystallization calorific values and a transition metal based catalyst shows such a relation between a crystallization calorific value and a rate of absorbing oxygen that the rate of absorbing oxygen can be kept at 3.0×10-4 cc/cm2.day or more in the case when a container of a polyamide composition having the crystallization calorific value of 0 to 60 J/g when measured by a differential scanning calorimeter DSC is used. Therefore, by specifying a heat generation peak at a crystallization temperature of the polyamide of the package during filling and sealing of the content to a range of 0 to 60 J/g, the rate of absorbing oxygen on a wall of the package is kept at a high range so that degradation of the flavor and taste due to oxygen in the content can be suppressed, and a shelf life of the package can be improved.
