PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fence to be attached to an earth retaining panel which can be used for fences having different dimensions in common. SOLUTION: This fence has a plurality of support legs 12 erected at every distance at the upper part of an earth retaining panel 18 disposed on the inside wall face 16a of a recessed ditch 16 formed by excavating a road face 14 and one or more lateral members laid over between the support legs 12. The lateral members 22 are classified to first sub crosspieces 22a fixed to one support leg 12 between at least a pair of adjacent support legs 12 and second sub crosspieces 22b fixed to the other support leg 12 side in the adjacent support legs 12. The first sub crosspiece 22a is slidably inserted into the second sub crosspiece 22b.
