PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the compression force added to a steel cord to improve the durability of a rubber crawler by setting the overlapping length of the rubber crawler width directional center area of a joint part shorter than the overlapping length of the lateral end area. SOLUTION: The center area So of a steel cord 1a is set short, and a steel cord 1b is cut at a right angle to the longitudinal direction. Accordingly, the steel cords 1a, 1b are mutually overlapped, whereby the overlapping length Lo of a center area So is shorter than the overlapping length Ln of an end area Sn. The length of the center area So of the steel cord 1a is regulated, whereby Lo can be equalized to 0. Accordingly, the overlapping in the center area So of the steel cord 1a is designed to avoid the concentration of compression force in traveling. Therefore, the repeated compression force can be made relatively small, which results in the improvement in the durability of a rubber crawler.
