PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for a conductor to go around a vehicle so as to save labor by displaying whether or not there is an illegal passenger, from data on tickets passed through automatic ticket gates and data on passengers seated. SOLUTION: This apparatus includes: an in-vehicle data storage means 5 for storing data on reserved seat tickets passed through automatic ticket gates; seating detecting means 3, 4 for detecting whether or not passengers are seated on reserved seats; a seating data storage means 5 for storing the data from the seating detecting means; and an indicating means 6 which compares the two data with each other and which, when the seating data is transmitted from a reserved seat not stored in reserved seat data, indicates the seat.
