PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing cooling device at a low cost and to surely supply cooling water by mounting a main pressure control valve capable of reducing the pressure of the cooling water, between a cooling water supply source and a shaft cooling pump. SOLUTION: A motor is driven and the cooling water is supplied to a supply line 10 by a cooling water supply pump 3. The cooling water flows into a main pressure control valve 14 after the foreign matter and the like mixed in the cooling water is removed by a strainer 12. The cooling water of high pressure pressurized by the cooling water supply pump 3 is depressurized to a predetermined value by the main pressure control valve 14. Whereby the pressure of a joint point 18 of the supply line 10 and a return line 8 is controlled to a desired value, and the cooling water of the suitable pressure flows to a suction port of a shaft cooling pump 5. Further as the residual part of the cooling water is discharged by a relief valve 17, the cooling water of suitable pressure flows into the shaft cooling pump 5 even when the pressure of the cooling water between the main pressure control valve 14 and the shaft cooling pump 5 is over the desired pressure.
