SOLUTION: In this joint protection method for lining elements used to construct an underground structure in which many and long lining elements having a substantially C-shaped joint are inserted into the natural ground in parallel while fitting joints of adjacent elements mutually, a rust preventive liner 26 is provided over a predetermined scope on an outer face of a joint 10 fitted in a joint of the lining element inserted into the natural ground previously among the joints of the lining elements to be inserted into the natural ground later.
