PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the conveyance of a liquid crystal display panel to rapidly clean it by ultrasonic waves and miniaturize a cleaning device by arranging a conveyance tight-holding belt for conveying the panel while tightly holding it together with each of conveyance rollers, at a position face to face with a plurality of conveyance rollers. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display panel 2 is conveyed, disposed on the conveyance rollers 24 of a loading means 31 to be loaded into a cleaning chamber 22. Further, the panel 2 is tightly held between the conveyance rollers 24 and the tight-holing parts 25a of conveyance tight-holding belts 25, in such a state that the panel 2 is soaked in a cleaning liquid 4 stored in a cleaning tank 5. In this case, the panel 2 is tightly held with a desired tight-holding force with the help of a tight-holding force adjusting means, and thereby is stably conveyed. After that, ultrasonic wave is oscillated from below to the liquid crystal display panel 2 to be conveyed in a tightly holding state by driving an ultrasonic oscillator 8. Thus the panel 2 is oscillated by ultrasonic wave through oscillating the cleaning liquid 4 as a medium. Consequently, smears such as liquid crystal sticking to the liquid crystal display panel 2 are efficiently removed.
