PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely displace a valve element to an opening position (restoring position) and to hold the same at that position so as to enable the valve element to again return to a closed position. SOLUTION: In a restoring device for an isolation valve, a base part 121 of a restoring rod 12 is held in a timer unit 11 incorporating a timer 111 and a restoring rod releasing part 112 so that the restoring rod 12 is extendable and retractable. The base part 121 of the restoring rod 12 is formed thereon with an engaging protrusion 124 and a switch actuating protrusion 125, and these protrusions, a restoring rod releasing lever 11 and a switch 113 which are provided in the restoring rod releasing part 112, are associated with one another when the restoring rod 12 is operated. A gripping part 126 is formed at the distal end of he restoring rod 12 so that an engaging plate 27 provided on the valve element 24 side can be coupled with the gripping part. With this arrangement, the valve element 24 can be surely displaced to an opening position (restoring position), and can be held at that position, thereby it is possible to return the valve element again to a valve closing position.
