摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stimulable phosphor which hardly undergoes X-ray damage by composing it of a compound having the basic composition formula: BaFX.aRbX'.bMX": cEu. SOLUTION: There is provided a tetradecahedral rare earth element-activated alkaline earth metal fluoride halide-based stimulable phosphor represented by the basic composition formula. In the formula, X, X' and X" are each at least one halogen selected from Cl, Br and I; M is at least one alkaline metal elected from K and Cs; and a, b and c are each a number in the range of 0<a<=0.01, 0<=b<=0.01 and 0<c<=0.01, respectively. Preferably, b in the basic composition is 0<=b<=0.01. Incorporation of Rb in the coexistence with K or Cs such a Rb with K or Rb with Cs into a tetradecahedral rare earth element-activated alkaline earth metal fluoride halide-based stimulable phosphor effectively decreases X-ray damage of a radiographic image converting panel.
