PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-diffusing methyl methacrylate resin composition which gives an extruded sheet which does not whiten in its secondary thermal stetching by dispersing a light-diffusing agent having a specified particle size and a specified amount of a surfactant in a methyl methacrylate resin. SOLUTION: This resin composition is prepared by dispersing (A) 0.5-10 pts.wt. light-diffusing agent having a refractive index different from that of the base resin (the below-described methyl methacrylate resin) and comprising inorganic or organic transparent fine particles and (B) a surfactant in a weight ratio to the light-diffusing agent of 0.005-0.5 in (C) 100 pts.wt. methyl methacrylate resin containing at least 50 wt.% methyl methacrylate units as structural units. A sulfate represented by the formula: R-SO3X (wherein R is an aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbon group; and X is an alkali metal) is especially preferable as ingredient B, examples being sodium laurylsulfate, sodium cetylsulfate, and sodium stearylsulfate.
