PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape for coating, a preparing process for the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape and a coating method using the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape for coating, which are capable of carrying out a coating with a simplified process, of sticking easily to a part with a large area or to a curved surface such as a corner, and furthermore of permitting many kinds and variety of the coatings with an excellence in color reproducibility. SOLUTION: A pressure-sensitive adhesive tape for coating has a pressure- sensitive adhesive layer 3, a coating film 4 made of a coating provided on a surface of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 3 and a masking application tape 5 provided on the surface side opposite to the surface laminated with the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 3 on the coating film 4. The coating film 4 is provided by a spray coating and has a dry film thickness of preferably 1-20μm. And also the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 3 is preferably made of a pressure-sensitive adhesive having the main component of an acrylic resin or containing both an acrylic resin and a phenolic resin.
