PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the character erasability of an eraser and prevent an erasure from staining. SOLUTION: In a stationery eraser, a plurality of through holes 2 are provided within the eraser so as to constitute to form gaps 4 by the through holes 2 at all times on the edge face 3 or 3a of the eraser facing to the end parts of the through holes 2. Thus, the surface pressure of an abutting part frictionally contacting with the surface of a paper can be risen, resulting in facilitating the adsorption and erasion of a holograph and allowing to prevent the erasion and erasure of writing characters and the rubbing surface of the eraser from being stained.
