PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain an adverse effect against an O2 sensor caused by an organic substance contained in a catalyst holding member to the utmost. SOLUTION: A catalyst holding member 2 to hold a honeycomb catalyst 1 against a casing 3 by being interposed between the honeycomb catalyst 1 and the easing 3 to store the honeycomb catalyst 1 is constituted of inorganic fiber containing at least alumina fiber and a fiber mat constituted of an organic binder, and when the whole of the fiber mat is specified as 100 wt.% a content of the organic binder is not more than 8 wt.%. |
