PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a physiologically active substance produced in the beesting or normal milk of cow obtained by immunizing a milking animal with an inactivated virus, etc., and effective for suppressing the proliferation of synovial cell of a patient of arthrorheumatism, a physiologically active substance having an action to suppress the proliferation of arthrorheumatic synovial cell and existing in cow's milk available in large quantity at a low cost and a physiologically active substance existing in beesting whey protein and containing an arthrorheumatic synovial cell proliferation suppressing factor. SOLUTION: An inactivated virus and an adjuvant are mixed with each other and emulsified. Cow's milk milked from a cow immunized with the emulsion is subjected to defatting, sterilization and separation with a filter membrane. The physiologically active substance having arthrorheumatic synovial cell proliferation suppressing action is separated from a fraction obtained by removing a substance having a molecular weight of <=1,000 and a substance having a molecular weight of >=30,000 from the above product. As an alternative, beesting of unimmunized cow is defatted, sterilized and separated by a filter membrane and a physiologically active substance having arthrorheumatic synovial cell proliferation suppressing action is separated from a ftaction obtained by removing a substance having a molecular weight of <=1,000 and a substance having a molecular weight of >=30,000 from the above product. |
