PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosensitive recording material being excellent in the fixing properties of sealing by a stamp, a seal or the like and in the shelf stability of a recorded image, recording running properties, a rubbing blush resistance and sensibility. SOLUTION: This recording material has a thermosensible recording layer coloring with heat on a substrate and further has first and second protective layers constituted mainly of macromolecular compounds on the recording layer in this sequence. In this case, the second protective layer is made to contain a porous pigment of which the oil absorption measured by JIS-K-5101 is 200 ml/100 g or above. Amorphous silica is used as the porous pigment. Besides, polyvinyl alcohol is used as the macromolecular compound of the first protective layer, while a water-dispersible macromolecular compound is used as the macromolecular compound of the second protective layer. |
