<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner, free from the emission of odor of dust particles collected by a dust collecting device to the surroundings of the device when an air current generating unit stops. SOLUTION: In an air cleaner provided with an air current generating unit 13 to generate an air current from an intake port 1 and to an exhaust port 15, a dust collecting unit 9 to collect and adsorb dust particles electrostatically, and a deodorization filter 12 disposed at the exhaust port 15 side of the dust collecting unit 9, between the intake port 1 and the exhaust port 15, a shielding member 16 which opens and closes corresponding to the on-off action of the air current generating unit 13 is installed at the intake port side, and when the air current generating unit 13 stops, closing the shielding member 16 prevents the odor of the dust particles collected/adsorbed by the dust collecting unit 9 from flowing backward to the intake port side.</p> |
