摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of an inertial mass body and to make it unnecessary to determine its size according to the prescribed expected impact to a door by holding a control member at a nonoperational position, and locking the door on the control member when a side impact is applied to a vehicle. SOLUTION: When a side impact is applied to a vehicle, the lever 14 of a handle 1 on a damaged door is rotated from a nonoperational position to an operational position and receives an inertial reaction helpful in releasing locks. An inertial mass body rotates an inertial body 56 against the elastic force of a wire spring 45 in relation to the lever 14 around the axis 42. When the inertial body 56 is rotated prior to the movement of the lever 14, a hook section 63 is moved to a seat section 25. The seat section 25 is coupled with the hook section 63 immediately after the lever 14 is moved, an arm 16 pushes the inertial body 56 to deform the wire spring 45, and an arm 58 abuts on a lock section 7 to prevent any movement of the lever 14.</p>
