<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a layered coating with excellent appearance by controlling the affinity and the repellent in the interlayers between respectively neighboring layers in the case where an aqueous intermediate coating and a top coating are successively formed on a substrate. SOLUTION: In a coating formation method for successively forming an intermediate coating using an aqueous intermediate coating material, a metallic base coating using an aqueous metallic base coating material, and a clear coating using a clear coating material on a substrate, the aqueous intermediate coating material and/or the aqueous metallic base coating material contains polycarbodiimide compound and an aqueous resin containing carboxyl group.</p> |
