PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a skin cosmetic having activities for preventing inside of the skin from being dried, arranging the turn over of the epidermal cell, keeping the skin firm and young by exhibiting moisturizing activities, roughened skin-improving activities and horny substance-protecting activities by including a phytosterol (derivative), and a hyaluronic acid (salt) and/or a (glyco)ceramide. SOLUTION: This skin cosmetic contains a phytosterol (preferably a vegetable sterol comprisingβ-sitosterol or the like) or a derivative thereof, preferably at 0.0001-10.0 wt.%, and a hyaluronic acid (linear high molecular polysaccharides obtained by mutually bondingβ-N-acetylglucosamine andβ-D-glucuronic acid at 3- and 4-positions respectively) or a salt thereof, preferably at 0.0005-1.0 wt.% and/or (glyco)ceramides (present in the tissue of brain or the like of a mammal such as cattle and horse), preferably at 0.0005-2.0 wt.%.
